These terms are the agreement between you and Poppby Corporation for using Shower Talk. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.

Your account
You need an account to use Shower Talk. Give a real email address you can receive mail at — it is how you reset your password. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old.
Your journal is yours
You own what you record. We claim no ownership of your recordings, transcripts or anything derived from them.
You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, and to send it to the processors listed in the privacy policy so it can be transcribed and analysed. That permission exists so the app can work. It does not let us publish your journal, sell it, or use it to train models.
Record responsibly. You are responsible for what you record, including what you say about other people. Do not use Shower Talk to record someone without their knowledge where the law where you live requires their consent.
What Shower Talk is not
Shower Talk produces summaries, emotion scores and charts using language models.
- It is not a medical device and not therapy. It does not diagnose or treat anything. If you are struggling, talk to a professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
- The analysis can be wrong. Language models misread tone, invent detail and miss the point. Treat what the app tells you about yourself as a prompt for your own thinking, not as a finding.
Free use, trials and subscriptions
Shower Talk gives you 7 free entries. After that you can start a 7-day free trial, and if you need longer you can claim one 7-day extension. When those are used up, creating new entries requires a subscription.
Your existing entries stay readable, free, forever. Running out of access never locks you out of what you have already written.
Shower Talk Plus unlocks unlimited journaling, insights and charts, monthly or yearly. Cloud audio backup is a separate, cheaper add-on that keeps your recordings in the cloud as well as on your phone. The two are independent — you can hold either, both, or neither.
Prices are shown in your own currency in the app before you buy, and they vary by country. The price shown at the moment of purchase is the price.
Billing, renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us directly. That means:
- Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancel any time in your store account settings — Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Google: Play Store → Payments and subscriptions. The app links you straight there under Profile → Your plan.
- Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Only your store account can do that.
- Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription in the same group.
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies, not by us. We cannot issue a refund for a store purchase. If something went wrong, email us anyway — we will help you make the case.
If a price changes, you will be told and asked to agree before it applies to you.
Acceptable use
Do not: break the law with it, try to break into it, hammer its interfaces automatically, resell access to it, or upload content you have no right to upload.
Availability, and changes to the app
We try to keep Shower Talk running and its data intact, but it is provided as is, without warranties. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot bear to lose. Cloud audio backup reduces the risk of losing recordings; it is not a guarantee against every failure.
We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to get your content out.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time — Profile → Delete account, or see deleting your account. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and it does not itself cancel a store subscription: cancel that separately, or you will keep being charged.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Poppby Corporation is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Legal
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app. The date at the top is the last substantive change.
Apple. Where you obtained the app from the App Store: this agreement is between you and Poppby Corporation, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Shower Talk, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you.
